Lakeland Wind Farm will bring significant investment to the local region. During the construction phase of the project, a significant portion of the investment will directly benefit the local economy. The Project will create direct employment and other flow through benefits such as local accommodation services.
It is expected that many of the local jobs will be sourced from the North Queensland region, with opportunities for local businesses to provide goods and services for the project.
When operational the project will provide enough clean energy for over 50,000 Queensland households.
