Managing Impacts

The location of Lakeland Wind Farm has been selected due to the low impact on biodiversity and the surrounding community. The project is committed to continuing to reduce its impact, this includes consulting with the local community and appropriate government bodies as the project progresses.

The project, through the approvals process, has been thoroughly assessed by both the Queensland Government and the Federal Government. This assessment included concerns such as traffic, biodiversity, noise, visual impact, cultural heritage and communications.

As set out in the approval there are several conditions which the project must continue to meet to ensure it is continually reducing and managing its impact. Throughout construction, operations and decommissioning of the project, the specialised management plans will be published on this website.
