Lakeland Wind Farm is a wind energy project being developed by Windlab and is located 60km south-west of Cooktown, Queensland.
The project is approved for up to 35 wind turbine generators and the associated infrastructure. The wind farm will be connected to the national electricity grid to distribute the power produced.The project is expected to generate hundreds of jobs during the peak of construction and several permanent full-time employees during operations for the 30-year lifetime of the project.
